Game Time 2:30 pm
Muddy Waters Stadium.
We need!
Big crowd, Big Noise, Big Win and a lot of Blue in the Bleachers.
Tailgate will start at 11:30 am
This week is the “Charger Chili” Contest.
Bring your Favorite Chili and enter in the contest. A prize will be awarded. (Best part)
You can become the “Charger Chili Champ”.
Bring your Chili under the tent to enter with Connie and me.
Bring your own Ladle, crackers, cheese etc. (Fixings’ for how you want people to taste your Chili.)
I will have small bowls and spoons for the testing.
If you’re not into the Chili thing bring a Dish to pass (under the tent).
Beverages, eating utensils we’ll have our grill, you are welcome to come by and use it. Reminder: Before going into the stadium, please pick up your dish from the "dish to pass" table and store it or dispose of it.
Special Charger notes:Don't forget to wear your Charger blue & fly your flags high.Larry Nicolet will have the duck tape to fly your flags.I will be passing out Fences and “D’s” again this week and also shakers to get the Charger spirit rolling.
We will have a parent tunnel when the players enter the field. Meet on the Field at 2:15 pm. Players run out at 2:23 pm (Be There)

We need everyone in Findlay for the game on Sat. Nov 3rd.
Big crowd, Big Noise, Big Win and a lot of Blue in the Bleachers
Game Time 1:00 PM in Donnell Stadium
Tailgate starts at 10:30 am. We will be having a Breakfast Burrito Brunch.
We will make and Serve on Sat. morning. We will need a few Charger parents to help out.
We are taking donations for all the stuff. Also we need folks to bring, Coffee cakes, Cinnamon roles etc. (sweet stuff to top it Off)
We will have Hot Brewed Coffee.
Let me know how many will be interested in eating Burritos in your group so Connie and I know how much to Prep for. I need at least 2 more Grills also. Let me know if you are bringing yours.
We will form a tunnel before the game. Larry Nicolet will have the Duct tape to fly your Flag!
Fences, D’s and noise makers will be handed out to.
Directions to Donnell Stadium from 1-75:
1. Exit I-75 at Exit 157 (Rt. 12 Exit)
2. At top of off-ramp, turn left (east) and head towards downtown Findlay
3. At Main Street (Courthouse on right), turn right.
4. Head south on Main Street; go past Fire Station & Little Caesar’s Pizza (on right)
5. After the light at Little Caesar’s Pizza, the next light after will be Baldwin
6. The main stadium entrance is off Baldwin and also where the Main Ticket Booth is located
7. The next street after Baldwin is Lime Street
8. Turn right unto Lime Street – Stadium is straight in front of you when you turn onto Lime
9. Go west on Lime St; we will be tailgating be behind the Stadium on the right

Hillsdale Vs Tiffin - Oct 27th - 2007
The boy's are back in town after a win at Mercyhurst.
A big thanks to Bill Lunberg and his cross-country team for supporting our football team in Erie PA. They were loud and cheered us on to a victory. We are proud to have you for Charger football fans and Hillsdale's Cross-country team.

It's Charger Coney Dog Day !
This week's tailgate will begin around noon in the gravel/grassy lot located west of the sports complex. Parking is $5.00 per vehicle/$10.00 per motor home.
Bring your main dish, beverages, eating utensils and a small dish to pass. I will have all the stuff for Coney Dogs. Just Bring your Dogs and Buns and make your Coney Dogs. We will have a grill set-up.
The Gridiron Club will have the tent set-up for tailgating. There will be long tables set up under the tent to place your "dish to pass". Trash receptacles will also be provided by the college. Please pick up your dish and dispose of your trash before you leave the tailgate to enter the stadium.

The Clothing Order is In !
Hillsdale Football Apparel will be under the tailgate tent for those you ordered to pick up. The Pick up for Clothing will start at 1:00 PM and briefly following the game.

At exit 7 (state Street).Head north on route 97( old French road) at second traffic light the road forks, 97 goes off to the right, stay on 97. Go to the second light (which is 38th street) and turn right. Mercyhurst is about 4 blocks on the right. Follow signs to sports complex and football field.( See map attached.)

It is called the "Spring Hill Suites".
The Room's are (2) doubles and a sleeper sofa ( 6 to a room if needed) $129.00
or (1) King and a Sleeper Sofa (sleep 4) $129.00
Along with your room, everyone in the room gets a Hot Buffet Breakfast. ( we can go light on the tailgate)

I had planned on staying at the Marriot Court Yard in Erie, (where the team is staying) but I had mix up with cost so we will not be staying there. I have found a few more places with different cost to meet everyone’s needs. I will be sending an email out on Monday by noon for the latest hotel information. I am only booking rooms for Friday night. Oct 19th.
We will start the tailgate (Charger Brunch/lunch) at 11:00.
Connie is waiting for a call back from the Mercyhurst AD on where we will be tailgating.

I know we have some injuries on our team right now so please pray that God keeps our team free from injury this week, and bring healing to those already injured.
Our Sympathy goes out to the Drelles Family this week for the Loss of #78Derek’s Drelles Grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

I know we have some injuries on our team right now so please pray that God keeps our team free from injury this week, and bring healing to those already injured.

The Chargers are back in town this weekend and so are the Parents.

The day will start with Hillsdale Parent/Faculty conferences on Saturday morning. This is one of the highlights of Parent Weekend. Here you will have the opportunity to meet with your student's professors to discuss academic progress. (Attached is a Schedule of events)
We will start tailgating at 12:00 noon.
Bring your main dish, beverages, eating utensils & a small dish to pass (under the tent). We'll have our grill, you are welcome to come by and use it. Reminder: Before going into the stadium, please pick up your dish from the "dish to pass" table and store it or dispose of it.

Tailgate - We will meet in the parking lot located west of the sports complex around 12:00 noon. Bring your main dish, beverages, eating utensils & a dish to pass. We will have our grill there along with a few others, feel free to come over and grill with us. Don’t forget when you pack up to go into the stadium, please pick up your dish to pass to either take home or dispose of. There are trash receptacles at the entrances of the parking lots.
Parent Booster Club - All Football Parents (including those not in the Football Parents Booster Club)
Please pick up your son's picture at the Parents booster club table. This weekend (Sept.29th)
A gift of appreciation from the Hillsdale College Football staff.
Spirit Towels - Students are selling Spirit towels at the Parents club table also. The cost is $10.00 each.

Last weeks tailgate in Ferris was Huge, Lot’s of Fan’s and Lot’s of great food. The Coney dogs were a hit and so were the Schikabobs made and donated by #88 parents. Thanks Tim and Annette Frosch. (They were great!)
Dave and Troy had those grills going for along while. Connie and I apologize for the area Ferris put us in the parking lot. They like to put all the tailgaters together and with Ferris Kids. The music was a little loud from the Ferris boys and I told Troy I new we should have brought our living room sofa to sit on in the back of our truck. But anyway, we all got along fine and the Police officers said we were the best tailgaters they have ever had. The police officers even tasted some of our food.
Connie Report: As many of you know, Connie Stapf did not make it to the game last Sat. Her surgery on her shoulder went well and she will be here this weekend. Connie is doing much better. We wish her well.

The Ferris State University Athletics Department will be holding its first-ever "Community Health Night" in conjunction with the Bulldogs' home football contest versus the unbeaten Hillsdale Chargers this Saturday evening at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Mich. Bulldog Athletics will be partnering with the Colleges of Allied Health, Optometry and Pharmacy on the FSU campus for the inter-professional event. As part of the day's activities, informational and screening events will be conducted free of charge for fans from 5-7 p.m. (EDT) inside the stadium.
The Bulldog football team, which is presently 1-2 overall this campaign, will try to get back on track against the Chargers. Hillsdale, which is coached by former FSU head coach Keith Otterbein, presently owns a league-leading 3-0 record to date this season.
Remember to bring your Flags and wear your Charger Blue.

We will also be taking orders for new Charger gear available only through the Gridiron Club including the same great clothing the coaches wear on the sidelines. What an exciting weekend it was. The tailgate and the game were HUGE successes in Marquette. We had new parents and look forward to meeting more this weekend. What a great group!

Dear God, I praise and thank you for using the sport of Football to draw us parents and players closer together. We need Your Spirit to be in total control of our son’s thoughts, actions, emotions and words on the playing field. Help us not to worship the sport, but to be thankful for the skills and interests you have given our son's to play it. Help us also to encourage our sons toward growth and maturity with you. Guide our coaches in making wise choices and help them be the kind of leaders you want them to be. Please keep our team free from injury, and bring healing to those already injured.
Lord, We trust You to renew there strength in times of weakness so that you will be glorified in everything they do.
We pray these things in Jesus name, amen!

Bring your main dish, beverages, eating utensils & a small dish to pass. We'll have our grill, you are welcome to come by and use it. Reminder: Before going into the (Dome) stadium, please pick up your dish from the "dish to pass" table and store it or dispose of it.

I hope Mother Nature is good to us this weekend.
Rain or shine, let’s be there and be the best fans in the GLIAC!
This week's tailgate will begin around noon in the gravel/grassy lot located west of the sports complex. Parking is $5.00 per vehicle/$10.00 per motor home. Bring your main dish, beverages, eating utensils and a small dish to pass. If you have grill, bring it. We will have a grill set-up and if you just bring your meat, we will get it cooked for you. The Gridiron Club purchased a tent for tailgating and it will be set up each home game in the tailgate lot. There will be long tables set up under the tent to place your "dish to pass". Trash receptacles will also be provided by the college. Please pick up your dish and dispose of your trash before you leave the tailgate to enter the stadium.
Parent Booster Club: For those of you who purchased a booster club membership ($200.00) you may pick up your pass at the table set up near the ticket booth on game day. Passes will be available at 1:00 PM. This pass will admit 4 to each home game and you will have assigned seating in the VIP section (blue seats). You must show your pass each time you enter the gate.
Tickets: Also, each player is allowed to sign up 4 people to be admitted for free for each home game. These tickets may be picked up at the Hillsdale Will Call window which is now the third window of the ticket booth. You must show I.D. for each individual ticket at the booth. There is no transferring of names, this is a conference rule.
Ticket prices:
$6.00 Adults
$3.00 Students
$2.00 Children 6-12/Senior Citizen 65 and over
Children 5 and under are free
Purchase programs inside the stadium
We will have a welcome table set-up in the tailgate area. Please stop by, get a name tag and other items listed below.
Hillsdale Football Apparel: Lots of cool items available this year. Each item is personalized with your son's jersey number! There is an order form attached to this email. Football time is nearing and we need to get rolling with some Charger Football stuff!
The Chargers 2nd game this year is at Northern Michigan University .
The Game is at 4:00 pm on September 8th.
I have blocked 20 rooms at the Ramada in Marquette for Friday Night - 9/07/07 and also 12 rooms for Saturday after the game 9/8/2007. If they go over 12 rooms on the second night, they have a sister Hotel (Holiday Inn) that they will book with. The special rate for a double is $89.00 + tax, smoking or non-smoking. Check in time is 3:00 PM and check out is 12:00 noon.
Cut off date for booking a room is September 1st.
Cancellation policy – You have until 4:00 pm on date of Arrival to cancel. If You book a room for both nights and decide after the game not to stay, you must cancel that day by 12:00 noon on game day.

At the Spring Scrimmage we had several people order Charger football clothing. Donna Brown and Marlene Wojcik Will have your clothing at the Scrimmage on August 25th, 2007. The Scrimmage is at 10:00 am and clothing can be picked up after the scrimmage.

Charger Clothing
At the Spring Scrimmage we had several people order Charger football clothing. Donna Brown and Marlene Wojcik Will have your clothing at the Scrimmage on August 25th, 2007. The Scrimmage is at 10:00 am and clothing can be picked up after the scrimmage.
