Hillsdale at GVSU - Party Crashers!

Hi Charger Parents and Fans!

This weekend is without a doubt a true "David vs. Goliath" moment! While young David was armed with only a sling shot, he defeated the mighty Goliath who was armed with a sword. And while Hillsdale College is much smaller than Grand Valley, we can envision, hope and pray for a Hillsdale Victory. Our guys are tough and have talent. I beleive it can happen! Courage to make the vision come true will come from the players but we as parents and fans can be the most supportive, positive and enthusiastic visitors ever to enter Lubbers Stadium.

GVSU is celebrating their Homecoming this weekend by asking their fans to all wear blue. Won't that be interesting? We are almost identical in school colors. To show support for our players, PLEASE BRING A SMALL WHITE RALLY TOWEL that can be waved when cheering our guys on! Hillsdale has the best "visitor" crowds and if we are all waving our white towels, I believe it can be quite impressive. I will bring some more noise makers too! PLEASE BRING COW BELLS AND OTHER NOISE MAKERS! Whoever has the D-(Fence) sign(s), please bring it.

Tailgating and Parking Info

Tailgating will begin at 4:00p.m. The parking lot will be closed until then. THE HILLSDALE TAILGATER WILL BE IN LOT F. Parking is $5 for cars and $10 for RV's. GVSU said they will have a 20 X 20 tent sent up somewhere in the parking lot that we can use. We will have grills and grillers available. If you have a table, please bring it. We can set up our pot-luck food underneath the tent. Don't forget your dish to pass!

Directions

http://www.gvsu.edu/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.maps will get our fans to the campus from any direction. Lot F is directly behind the rec. center. Look for the Hillsdale flags!

http://www.countryinnsdestinationguide.com/locationMap.process/OID_f5gf3sd7/?hotelCode=MIGREAST will get our fans to the hotel. The hotel is the Country Inns and Suites at 1-616-942-7855 at the E. Beltline and I-96.

I hope that's everything. Drive carefully and I will see you on Saturday!

Mary
