After a big game on the road, it's going to feel great getting back to Hillsdale. I have to say that GVSU had to be impressed (even if a little bit) that little old Hillsdale could pack such a punch. Our tailgater was a big party. The GVSU police even showed up! (Actually Sgt. DeHaan is a friend of ours.) On the field, our guys gave GVSU a game too. Our players even got a kick out of being heckled by the GVSU students during the warm-ups! We had a great crowd cheering our team on!
This week we will be hosting Northern Michigan at Muddy Waters Field. Our tailgater will begin at noon in the same location (gravel parking lot next to the sports complex.) I have been informed that THIS WEEK WE WILL BE HAVING A CHILI COOK-OFF! We will have small cups/bowls available for tasting. I think ballots will even be cast. Fortunately, ACORN has agreed to stay off campus and leave our voting procedures alone. Cook up your best, hottest, tastiest, award winning chili and bring it Saturday. Please bring all your fix-ins that accompany your chili too. Now is the time to prove that your chili is the "best!"
As usual, we will go into the stadium @ 2:10 to welcome our players onto the field. Bring your son's flag into the stadium as well and we will have tape to secure your flag.
What am I forgetting? Anyway, see you Saturday under sunny, chillier skies. Wear your Charger Blue and get ready to make some noise. I'm out of noise makers so dig up one or two from one of our previous games.
GO CHARGERS!
Mary
P.S. Don't forget to visit chargerblue.com. Andy Losik does such a nice job keeping us up-to-date on all the articles and awards given to our players. Andy does this in his spare time out of his love for the game and our team. Pictures and videos (amateur productions) are also found at http://chargerbluespace.ning.com. You can get to that from chargerblue.com. Everyone is welcome to post.
